weekend wrap-up

Some weekends are just a little superior to others - well, this past weekend was tops!

Rachel surprised me with a special delivery of the new washi tape from her shop. Even though my February #LetteredLetters didn't go in the mail until a week in to March, they sure did look beautiful as they were accessorized with some lovely washi tape action!

I was able to convince Kimmy that we should have a girls night Saturday night. The plan was to grab dinner and rent a movie... but as usual, things didn't go according to plan and we ended up having life chats [my favorite!] over sushi and then laughed way too hard watching clips of the new Late Night Show with Jimmy Fallon. I have such a [major] crush on him!

Kimmy has two of the cutest pups and miss Audrey was a total ham for the camera on Saturday night. The blurry one makes me giggle -- probably because I think it looks like she's faking being asleep -- but it was a total action shot!

Sunday is my "long run" day for my half-marathon training, and the distance is starting to get pretty high!! I ran 6 miles in an hour and five minutes. Even though I was happy with the time, it was a pretty tough run.

I know I've said this before, but it's amazing just how powerful our minds are! Even though my "I can't do this"mindset didn't beat me - because I did do it - the run was not enjoyable for me -- at all. Boo!

I am convinced that my music selection deserves all the credit for my consistent 10-10.5 minute mile while training. [We'll see if that continues as the distances get longer] These songs are upbeat and lip-sync worthy. In fact, if you happen to pass me while I'm running - and I hope you never have to endure that pain - you may just see me singing along to my fabulous playlist.

You're super curious now what's on my playlist aren't you? Well, I'm fully prepared for the judgement that will come from my friends who have great music taste - but here it is!

Next to Me - Emeli Sande
The Edge of Glory - Lady Gaga
Kiss You - One Direction
Catch My Breath - Kelly Clarkson
Cruise - Florida Georgia Line
P.Y.T. - Michael Jackson
Dedication to My Ex (clean version!) - Lloyd
Everybody Talks - Neon Trees
Overcomer - Mandisa
Home - Phillip Phillips
Anything Could Happen - Ellie Goulding
I Cry - Flo Rida
I Love It - Icona Pop
Remember When - Chris Wallace
Stronger - Kelly Clarkson
Burn - Ellie Goulding
Classic - MKTO
Still Into You - Paramore
I Want Crazy - Hunter Hayes
Heartbeat Slowing Down - The All-American Rejects (cool down song)

Side note: some Tegan and Sara tunes will be added shortly. I'm obsessed!

I'll probably also be adding some of the songs that are on the 80's Cardio Pandora station. If you haven't checked it out, you must. It's awesome!!

This was my view Sunday afternoon - helping Rachel with some fun photo styling! Let's not talk about how many gum balls I chewed in order to attempt the perfect bubble. I. Failed. Big time.

Here's to an awesome week that lives up to the fun of last weekend!! xoxo, E

    1. I'm pretty sure they were rescue pups! They are both so sweet - I just adore Audrey's curls.
