I'm the luckiest girl in the world. Yeah, I know people say that all the time, and they're entitled to their opinion, but they're wrong. I am the luckiest girl in the world, because Millie is my momma. She's also my best friend, my loudest cheerleader, and she laughs at my stories! She's the best in the world.
She's also the the MIP of my VIPs. (m = most)
The first time I held you in my arms in the hospital. It was the most incredible feeling that only a mother can understand. At that moment, I understood the love that my mom had for me.
2. Most embarrassing/funny moment of mine/ours that you can think of?
We were goofing around near the fountain in Southpark Mall... We lost our balance and you fell in the fountain & got soaked. Nanny and I couldn't stop laughing, but you found no humor in it at all. Every step you took, your shoes would squeak because of the amount of water in them. Nanny and I laughed all the way to the car, and you kept blaming me for "pushing you in the fountain." Luckily, there was a witness who saw exactly what happened... otherwise I would be in jail today!
3. What three words do you think I'd use to describe you?
- Encouraging
- Compassionate
- Loyal
The respect that we have for each other, our unconditional love that we share and our sense of humor -- We love to laugh!
Your character, integrity, work ethic, friendliness and helpful nature.

Q4. What's your dream vacation destination?
AUSTRALIA!!
Q5. What skill or talent do you wish you had?
I wish I had the singing ability that Whitney Houston had.

Q6. If you could spend a day doing absolutely nothing but what you want, what would you do?
I would spend a day in NYC with you shopping, sightseeing and going to a broadway show!
Q7. What 3 items in your closet/dresser/vanity could you not live without?
- Jewelry

Q8. What's your favorite memory of Paw Paw?
I loved watching my daddy coach on the baseball field. His knowledge of the sport was amazing! His players thought he was the wisest and most talented coach... and he had a list of championships to back up his reputation. He made every player, even the bench warmers, believe that they were important to him and to the success of their winning season. He had a talent in baseball that few people have!
Note from Elizabeth: I almost started crying when Momma sent me this picture the other day. I never got to meet my Paw Paw, but I feel like I know him because of all the stories Nanny and Momma have told me!
Q9. What are your three favorite desserts?
- Key Lime Pie
- Frozen Hot Chocolate
- Cheesecake
Q10. What's the greatest parenting lesson you learned from Nanny?
My mom taught me by example, that above all things, showing love was the most important . She showed her four children how much she loved us by telling us, hugging us, praising us for the kindness that we shared with others and for our accomplishments. She listened to our concerns and fears. Mom would tell us that she was there for us, and still is, if we ever needed her. I knew she always had my back!
Note from Elizabeth: I could not have better role models than I have in Nanny and Momma. They show love in such a big way! I love - and respect - these two women far more than any words could adequately say.
I don't think I would change my career. I love having my own math tutoring business. I so enjoy working with teenagers and helping them be successful in the dreaded subject of math! I feel needed and appreciated by the students and parents.
Q12. Name your top 3 trips/vacations we've gone on...
- Italy
- Alaska
- New York City - NYC probably holds the most memories since we have been going there for years!
I definitely cried a few times working on this post - happy tears of course. Turns out my writing style is a lot like my Momma's - we both write the way we talk. I could hear her voice as I read the answers.
And the answers that really got me teary were the ones about Nanny and Paw Paw. My mom's face lights up when she talks about either of them. The relationship that I have with her was preceded by a strong relationship with her mom. I come from a pretty amazing line of women!
Is it Thanksgiving yet? Momma, get here soon!
