Fall is All Around

A couple weeks ago, Marcus and I decided it was a good time to decorate his condo for Fall. Seriously, this 100+ degree weather can drive a person crazy!

So, being the incredibly supportive and designer-y girlfriend that I am (wink wink), I was up for the challenge! This will be the first holiday season in his condo, so it was like a fresh canvas ready to be painted! Oooohh, I can't even wait until it's time to decorate for Christmas!

Sidenote: It's going to be super fun to decorate my place for fall and Christmas this year, seeing as how I moved last May as well.

Sidenote #2: Our favorite place to shop for Christmas decor, and get inspiration for DIY decorating (aka Hobby Lobby versions), opens on Friday!!! I. Love. North. Pole. City!!!

Okay, picture time! It's so fun to hang out at M's condo with all this decor surrounding us! It's so warm and cozy! Almost makes you forget that it's borderline "house of Hades" outside.

Mmm, don't you feel like it's time for a pumpkin muffin and hot chocolate? I love fall!! I can't wait to decorate my place and share that with you guys too!

I realized that I've never shared photos of my new apartment, so that's on the agenda for tomorrow!

Happy Wednesday!

Quick Dallas Debrief

Does anyone else have a really hard time getting back in the swing of things after a long holiday weekend? I do! So, on this Tuesday, that feels like a Monday, I'll give a quick recap of our Dallas outing!

After a yummy breakfast at Old School Bagel Cafe, it was time to hit the road!

I wore my anchor top and seersucker shorts! Need to get in one last "wear" before summer's officially over!!

Once we got to Dallas, our first stop was Sushi Zushi! Unfortunately, both of our favorite rolls were no longer on the menu. Although what we ordered wasn't what we origianlly hoped for, it was still a yummy lunch!

Next up was Northpark Mall! I seriously drool over all the beautiful clothes, shoes and handbags! Luckily, M is a great sport and let me play dress up - a lot - on this trip!

I ended up making a purchase at LuLuLemon for half marathon training gear!

That night, we had a very yummy anniersary dinner at PF Chang's, thanks in part to a generous giftcard from Mommacita!

Have you had the Great Wall of Chocolate? Oof, I think I had 4 bites, then I was done!

All in all, it was a great trip! One of our best for sure!

It's been a great two years - and I'm praying for two hundred more!

Weekend Update

Well, football season is officially underway! And the Cowboys started it off right by beating Savannah State 84-0. At a point, you start feeling bad for the other team - but I did hear on the radio that by the 3rd quarter, OSU had played 79 of its players. Which that's good for those guys that aren't first... or second... string!

The starting quarterback is a freshman, so I think this game was important to ease him into the pressure of playing for one of the best teams in the nation. He completed all 11 of his passes!

Anyway, onto the fun part - pictures from the day!!

I went over to M's condo before we left for Stillwater to help him get all of Bella's things together for her evening at the grandparent's house. This face kills me. It's a rough life for Miss Bella!

She definitely perked up for the car ride though! Miss B was front and center to guide us on our way!

I love a good hair accessory!!!

They know how to get decked out for the game!!

We're Here!!!!!

Posing for our usual pre-game pic!

Let's #GoPokes!!

I love college football! Have a great weekend!

Going to the Cathedral

My sweet friend Vicky, from Class and Sass, is getting married!! She and her fiance have set the date for October 2013, and I am beyond blessed to be her wedding planner and help with all the details!

I told M the other day that I really feel like Vicky and I are soul sisters. For example, we both showed up to dinner last weekend in nautical prints and Bridier Baubles jewelery! We simply had to snap a pic - even in the cruddy lighting of the Italian restaurant.

So far, we have the following booked:
Reception Venue
Photographer

And we're making good progress on:
The Cathedral (they're pretty sure they have finalized their choice)
Invitation Suite - I can't wait to go look at the design, in person, with Miss V!

I couldn't think of a sweeter friend to help with the biggest day of her life. We are constantly giggling and texting about wedding fun!! I love this girl!

Many more updates to come!

3 Days and Counting

I saw a billboard today that said "3 days until Cowboy Football!" This girl is seriously excited. This will be my third season as a die-hard OSU fan. My association started strictly because of M's family, however, there are a few things that I'm truly obsessed with - all on my own - regarding OSU football season.

1. I treasure the moments where I can pull out all of the orange in my wardrobe and wear it with pride! You can never have on "too much orange" at these games - as if such a thing existed!

2. I am obsessed - like truly obsessed - with the OSU horse, Bullet. Even though Pistol Pete is their official mascot, the games wouldn't be half as much fun without that black stallion. I wrote a blog post about him last season, here.

M's mom gave Bella an OSU bandana on Sunday. Once we put it on her collar, I squealed with glee and screamed, "She's like my own personal Bullet!!" Obviously she didn't want to participate in this photo op. Silly girl.

3. Papas has become a recent OSU fan as well - and after coming to a game last season, he became a super-fan! Just like me!

4. It's always fun to spend time with King Kent and Queen Nora - as we affectionately call them in the Newton home - at these games! So grateful they have given me this experience!

If you need me, I'll be thumbing through my closet picking out my outfits and counting down the hours until kickoff!
